Comparison of Stradivarius Violins

This video compares 7 strads. The dealer points out the the ones from the Golden Period are flatter, and that a rounder cross section gives a warmer sound. I thought it was interesting.

The one in the glasses reminds me of an asian Austin Powers.

I think it would be fun to do this test with negra/blanca/coral guitars

The Strads have probably all been taken apart, updated, modified, re-glued etc many times, keeping them relevant to current music and playing styles.

Flamenco/classical guitars don’t get regularly taken apart. The Spanish Heel and related geometry would be a major stumbling block for this I guess. Instead the poor old guitar suffers from the sandpaper merchants worshipping at the altar of shininess. There is no easy way back from removing wood.
