Hi everyone! What Rasgueado abanico does he use in 3.20? https://youtu.be/UuvDYjy0vHU
He playes 3 triplet in 1 beat?

It’s P-M-P or P-MA-P. without slowing it down, I’m not sure if it’s triplets as it’s played machine-gun fast.

I love it - it’s a signature Antonio and Vicente move.

They often use this rasguado for rhythmic groupings other than triplets, e.g 4’s and 5’s.

For example:

Fours: 1) P(up)-m-p(down)-P(up) 2) M-p(down)-P(up)-m etc...

Fives: 1) P(up)-m-p(down)-P(up)-m 2) P(down)-P(up)-m-p(down)-P(up)

Hi,

yes, those fast rasgueados at 3.20 are nine note tuplets. It divides a quarter (a beat) into 9 sixteenth note.

That’s correct. The easy way to feel it is slow triplets on the thumb up.
1-&-ah, 2-&-ah, 3....4-&-ah, 5-&-ah, 6....ah-7-&-ah, 8-&-ah, 9-&-ah, 10.

Each triplet 8th note above gets a full round of p up, am down, p down. 9 per beat total strokes. I hear him do a pick up to count 7.
