Website Update 2019 Stephen Faulk

https://www.stephenfaulkguitars.com

I have a new website update for 2019.

Significant announcements:

The models I'm building as standard offerings-

Flamenco
La Alameda - a classical model
La Calle Carpinteria - a pre-Torres /early Torres type Andaluz guitar
Seven strings
Here: https://www.stephenfaulkguitars.com/2019/guitar/

Prices not significantly raised, a plus for buyers.

New introduction for those who don't know my glitteringly farty personality_

Nice! Will follow the blog. I suspected you must have some formal art backround from the looks of your rosettes

Excellent! Did you make a persimmon flamenco yet? That wood looks really cool.

Cool rosette, hombre. Reminds me of a peacock feather.

Hey,
Very cool.
Agree with honey comment
Cool rosette, which looks good in the context of this whole instrument...
And I checked out the new website etc, also very cool, unpretentious, straight forward,
I like it...
I see the persimmon guitar there, one of them.
And am curious about the small romantic era instruments...
(I remain very happy with the flamenco you made for me. Its received compliments from flamenco professionals who've been staying with me recently)

Thanks

I haven’t built the persimmon flamenco, I’m looking for a better rib set.

Another rosette in the style I'm jamming on now-

I like this rosette. My eye connects the lighter parts into a continuous wave when I see the whole circle.

Would a slight adjustment to the tiles make it continuous when you zoom in for a closeup?

Nice work.

Richard,

I don't think it matters a lot. I've done it both ways, with the lines indexed connecting and with the lines not connecting. Either way the rosette works, but connecting them seems a little more conventional, but the gesture of waviness works either way. My preference is to let them be out of register because to my eye it creates visual tension, also it's not a wind tunnel test. LOL
