How to loop youtube videos

Did you guys know about this?

I just found out that there is a website where one can specify a youtube video (even just by youtube ID), and the beginning and end time of the desired loop in min:sec, and you get that looping ad infinitum.

Seems very handy for quick investigation of note passages or phrases in online videos without having to worry about somehow getting an offline copy.

Also great for playing along practice!

And it can be combined with the speed functionality in youtube - set the youtube setting (within the loop website interface) to half speed and get the loop at half speed, etc.

For example, here's Paco de Lucia with the intro melody to Guardian Angel, looped from 5:14 to 5:32 (I picked the time when it is repeated toward the end as the view is really clear). And after that another longer loop that contains the second run through with the the added melody.

The parameters can be specified either within the website interface, or directly as part of a constructed link:

1. https://loopvideos.com/NTao4mrsahM?from=314&to=332 (5:14 - 5:32 loop of Guardian Angel intro melody)

2. https://loopvideos.com/NTao4mrsahM?from=314&to=349 (5:14 - 5:49 loop of Guardian Angel intro melody + second run-through with added melody)

Looper for Youtube is a chrome extension and I think it’s the simplest way to do it.
