This is far beyond my skill level. But, thank you for posting. It's always fun to watch the pros break something so advanced down for us life-long beginners....We can just dream :)

This was really enjoyable and educational! You got me excited again about Frevo Rasgado. The instruction is crystal-clear; I do have that same book. It is great to see how the melody and the harmony work out and to get the whole structure explained in such detail!

Also, don't know how I managed to get to 1h 35min and only then notice that you were wearing a t-shirt with the Friday Night in San Francisco album cover image

Cheers, mate, and thank you.

This is great, thanks Ricardo.

I've started working on it already a couple of days ago, I am now doing final picados and will have to work on rhythm thoroughly after I learn all the falsetas first.
Very well explained and clear, much easier to learn with such explanation. I tried to learn it years ago with some partitura for two guitars but I could not make something nice out of it. So thanks again.

P.S. The kid is cute, hope you didn't let him wait for long :D

I’ve had to slow this way down because of the picado sections

I’ve got the metronome on 70 right now which is my limit for cleanliness . the acending scale at the start of the melody from second string D to C for example has been giving me issue. After I leave the Bb - A chord , I have to get my thumb anchored and ready to start the picado. . So it’s not much time to get achored, prepare the fingers, get relaxed, scratch my nose, call my mom etc before that half of beat runs out.

Anyway, I’m enjoying it
