Guitar of PDL recording Mundo Del Fl...

The other day I noticed one of Paco's guitars is for sale for about 7.600 euro

Isn't that outrageously cheap?!
I have no connection with the sellers or interest in buying but was just wondering....

It seems it was used to record the CD 'Mundo del Flamenco'.
I can distinctly remember the first time I listened to this cd.
A few years ago I got a discography cd box of paco as a present and I listened to this cd.
The first song I immediately recognized as Guajira de Lucia that I already heard 1000 times, but then suddenly after about 45 seconds I heard a dancer?!

I was somewhat surprised that after all this time I never heard this version (maybe some other aficionados also missed this version?).
IMO this is a nicer version than the others as it has even more energy, despite a pretty hard to miss mistake at 3:00

I’d buy it straight away if I had the money.
Very surprising also the cedar top (given the cedar was said having being used at first by Ramirez in the same year).

maybe something is wrong with the guitar, you have to play it and see yourself, who knows how the guitar was treated and what happened during all these years

$12,000 for a beat up $5,000 guitar. I think the mark up is justified, however careful with the language. They say “featured on”, meaning that photograph of him holding it used on the cover, not the recording necessarily. I think the guitar sounds great, if you are ok with cedar, but I don’t think it was used on that recording session (sounds like the negra he started using exclusively soon after, his “best guitar” to my ears). Anyway the audio is not the greatest on that disc. Last detail that seems odd.... why would Paco sign his autograph on his own guitar?? Lol
