RENFE Alvia Train

Was wondering if anyone has taken the Alvia Renfe Train Line MAD - Cadiz ( or MAD - Puerto de Santamaria)? If I am not mistaken it's an alternative to AVE ( a tad slower) but faster than Talgo?

Yep it’s fine. AVE only goes to Sevilla

Thanks! I have always flown down south, but this year the only flights left into jerez from madrid on my arrival date were a tad more expensive than the usual 60-80 Euros. On top of a 9 hour layover in MAdrid, so I am just gonna take a taxi to atocha and grab a train to Puerto. RENFE Websites says this ALVIA train does MAdrid-Puerto in less than 4 hours, sounds pretty good for a 80 Euro ticket.
