what are some good rumbas to play wi...

Hey guys! What are some good traditional flamenco rumbas to play with a singer? I'm not a huge rumba fan but I've been performing some stuff with a singer and it would be fun to throw a rumba in the set. I'm pretty familiar with gypsy kings rumbas, so no need for recommendations there.

From before the 60s and the huge success of rumba catalana, there's stuff like this:

Bambino might have been the last to sing rumba with more of the Cuban influence than the Catalan influence:

After that, it's pretty much all rumba catalana really so I guess it depends on what you mean by "traditional". There's Kiko Veneno's Volando Voy, pretty much everything by Peret, some Manolo Escobar stuff that are pretty famous (like El Porompompero), etc. El Capullo de Jerez has a lot of rumbas that are pretty widely known (Pan Y queso, Son de lunares, etc.) and if you can pick up some of Nino Jero's accompaniment it's worth it. but none of those are "traditional".

I used to know a gitano cantaor who'd do a darn good cover of Frank Sinatra's My Way.

El Principe Gitano is sublime. I've known about that one for a long time.

In his younger days Peret looked like Eddie Munster:

Yeah I found that video on a very old thread. I don't even remember what I was looking for rummaging through the foro's archive, and out of nowhere this came up.
You gotta love the foro.
