SOLD 2017 Huipe blanca with pegs

Benito Huipe Blanca for sale. Here are the specs
Scale: 655mm
Nut: 53.25mm String Spacing 44.25mm
Top: Cedar
Back/Sides: Cypress
Fingerboard: Ebony
Sound: Traditional Flamenco in the Sabicas era.
Condition: New with a minor cosmetic issue but structurally in perfect condition.
Price: $1050 which includes shipping in CONUS
Case: Hard
Action: 3.0mm/2.7mm at the 12th fret with plenty of bone to go lower
Saddle height: 9.5mm above the top

This is a new guitar I bought this summer which is in 95% condition--the 5% being mostly a small scratch to the lacquer (sneezed while taking out of the case and just nicked it on the latch) and what appears to be a blem on the back side of the head. The scratch did not penetrate the wood. The lacquer is thin throughout (I will include a strip of golpe material unattached so if the buyer wants to protect behind the tie block he/she can). Back in 2012 I missed out on a chance for a flamenco I wanted which became available shortly after I bought the Huipe. In 2012 I passed but not in 2017 so now an almost brand new guitar is now up for sale.

The sound is typical of the Sabicas era--good trebles and basses and dry. The guitar has real pegs which work well--they do not slip and are reasonably easy to turn. They are not buttery like a professional high end guitar but they do work well. One could easily install mechanical Pegheads if so desired.

as much as I would like to post a video I do not have video equipment to do so and using less than good equipment (e.g., a smartphone) would only provide less than good video and sound

bump up the thread and bump down the price. Now $925. This is a brand new guitar with minor cosmetic issues. No structural issues and has been kept in a humidity controlled environment.

Reduced to $850 which includes free shipping in CONUS. Guitar has great sound. As I recall there are a few threads floating about in the Foro about how well Huipe guitars sound. As I recall he cut his guitar teeth in LA and moved back to Mexico.
