Albeniz is junk? Ah, that hurts! I'll be thinking of you when I bust out Leyenda tonight.

Yeh just what I thought, Manuel da Falla also wrote some lovely music, but Ricardo is entitled to his opinions as he has done the math.

RE: Tomatito taking classical guitar... (in reply to Miguel de Maria

I saw it performed by the SF Symphony with a guest guitarist from Spain about five years ago-the first time I've seen it performed in person. It was pretty amazing. They did a bunch of other warhorses but being a somewhat typical, very casual classical music fan, I was blown away by the sound of the orchestra, as well as by the way the conductor led them. As someone who has led a few bands, I feel there is a lot to learn from seeing/hearing a top orchestra. Dynamics in particular were amazing.

It strikes me that Tomatito's very humble, to learn a classical guitar piece guitar-to-guitar like a newbie learning falsetas. It also seems a great way to learn, if you can afford to pay a teacher everyday.

Learning the Aranjuez in College was quite a different experience for me

TAB? just joking :)

Do you like it? The Concierto, I mean?

Ooooops there I go forgetting people have feelings. What I meant by junk was Albeniz is amazing beautiful deep music, totally sweet dude. Can't get enough. Viva Asturias till death!!! Paco, lucky to have been able to be taught how to play some by Canizares. And taught the Rodrigo by Gallardo. I wish I would have been so lucky and am simply envious.
