Best streaming site for flamenco

Anyone got any thoughts on the best streaming site for flamenco? Both from the point of view of the listner (large choice) & the artists (i.e. they actually get paid).

I've been using Deezer, but it certainly doesn't have an exhaustive collection (e.g. just 3/4 of the Montse Cortes albums and just 1 track from Diego del Morao's Orate album). I've no idea how they compare with say Spotify or iTunes regarding supporting the artists for the streaming I do.

Orate is an oddity. It isn't available to buy as an mp3 album on Amazon either.

Personally I use Spotify as the range is quite good. I suspect Tidal is the only one artists like, but I've not checked it out. From what I've seen the Google play streaming service is almost identical in range. Which is a good thing. If you have to subscribe to 5 different services, people just give up and go back 10 years to rampant mp3 piracy in frustration.

Nice. I knew the radio station, but never tried the app.

But radio - artists won't get much other than publicity out of it right? Plus I was after a way to listen to albums without always opting for pirate versions on youtube.

In France royalties for radio are much higher, even for AM radio, than anything you'd get from an online streaming service.

You may want to give Pandora a try.

Thanks. I didn't know about this one.

There's some discussion about these things in the 2nd half of this show (following a discussion of exploding smart phones). A big BOO to Tidal for pushing for exclusivity.

There's an interesting comparison of various services here. Interstinglty, Napster of all people come out looking like the best deal for artists. With Pandora you're only giving artists about twice as much as you would via youtube.

There are some numbers in here on the number of songs each site hosts - based on those numbers alone Deezer comes out looking quite strong (40 million songs vs 30 million for Spotify & Apple and 25 million for Tidal). They don't say how many for flamenco though

Edit: I signed up to Napster and Terremoto is now singing Que Dio La Perdone
