Salón de la Guitarra

Salón de la Guitarra
We have just had 3 days of exhibitions and live music in the first “Salón de la Guitarra.”
The exhibitors had great variety and very accessible prices:

Spanish guitars:
Miguel Sanchez from Jerez. abolengopulidos@hotmail.com
Francisco Vico Molina from Málaga. www.guitarrasvico.es
Jorge López from Málaga. www.guitarrasjorgelopez.com: I played a very nice cypress and cedar peghead for 1700 euros.
Fernando Gómez Hermida from Cádiz. gomezhermida@gmail.com: Fernando is presently carving wood for a couple of jazz archtops, but he is mainly flamenco.
Rafael Romero from San Fernando. www.guitarrasromero.com: Rafael´s guitars were always very well finished but now they are sounding very well too. Prices from 1150-4500 euros.

Custom electrics: There were copies of strats, teles, Les Pauls, 335s and original designs. My impression was of higher quality than the originals at less than half price.
Zepol fom Málaga. www.zepolguitars.es
Antonio Fayos Jover from Valencia. www.afjguitars.com
Tokaa from Jerez. wwtokaaguitars.com
Ramos guitars and basses. www.ramosguitars.com
Skltonestore offers electronics, kits of components and spare parts. www.facebook.com/skltonestore

Tonewood supplies
Daniel Marius Pop. A former employee of Barber, Daniel has addresses in Castellón and in Romania. His wood seems to be of good quality and is well priced. www.maderaspop.com

Sounds very interesting.

As to Jorge López from Málaga: he shouldn't have published his homepage before it was finished. It consists mostly of filler text, and gives the impression, his guitars might be
as slipshod
"Modelos de guitarras"

Hola Ed

Jorge is 22 years old, been trying to make guitars since he was 14 But his guitars are good now. I shall send him a message about his page.

Cuando vas a volver a Caí?

Suerte

Hola Sean,

probablemente iré a Sevilla en la secunda mitad de setiembre. Pero no sé si tendré posibilidad de volver a Caí...
Un fuerte abrazo desde Siegburg.
