Ole!!!!!

This bulerias with Jeronimo accompanying El Colorao and Marina Heredia popped up on me. I'm guessing Felipe is the father of Jeronimo & Leo right? Monsters, all of them!!

Jeronimo Maya has matured into something unbelievable and Marina Heredia is excellent. The other guy is too much of a screamer for me. I think Jeronimo is perhaps the best there is at present. Thanks for this wonderful video.

unbelievable

Agree .. And great to see a lot more activity of late
I'm also really enjoying the cante of Aurora and Samara Losada - I'm guessing there is a family connection to the Maya's ?
Not sure if there's any real quality footage on the tube
But the Como Soy disc is just the best thing to come along in ages

The family love seems big - great that Felipe is also more present of late

Ricardo Losada, aka "El Yunque" is Jeronimo's uncle. He's also one of Madrid's better cantaores IMO.
Samara and Aurora are, I believe, the daughters of Amador Losada, who use to be part of that 80s flamenco-rock band "Los Chorbos".

The family love is big, but the family itself is even bigger, and confusing

We heard El Yunque at Casa Patas in Madrid a few years ago. I thought he was the best thing in the show.

sadly, all I can hear is the stupid cajon. I hate percussion in flamenco.

Well played percussion I like, but 85% of the time cajon players hit too hard. It's a drag.

Here Felipe reminds me so much of Marote, in a good way.

In flamenco, percussion + bass = inferior product. I'm still waiting for some "innovative" tocaor to introduce a kazoo as part of his ensemble.

Give them in-ear monitors and turn them up in the mix - then if they play too loud they blow their heads off.
