My wood creation

I am not building guitars yet, but have been working on this for past year in my spare time and was able to finish and give it to my wife for Christmas. Now I have I to build a matching one which should go faster after learning from my mistakes and make the design better.

Nice symmetry and flush fitting drawers. You did a good job. I'm not crazy about the antique style finish but if you and your wife like it that's all that matters.

Nice job. I don't know much about furniture making but it feels great to make anything functional like that

Good work! Flush frame is the only way to go. Did you put glides or are the boxes just friction? You dovetail your drawer boxes? I'm a big fan of the bottom mount full extension soft close glides, small thing but super nice if it's something used daily.

Thanks guys!
The finish is what my wife requested and took trial and error to achieve.
The stain on the top is two colors blended together which also took some time to get right.
The drawer slides are Accuride mounted to the sides.
The drawers use a drawer lock miter joint using a special router bit, it works but next time will probably do dovetails maybe cut by hand.
