Re- slotting the bridge for new saddle
|

|
Dear All, this is my biggest challenge so far ( since I start repairing guitars), here is the situation: the slot of the bridge where the saddle bone set in, is oversized, I dont remeber how it happens long time ago , maybe by using wrong type of file, the slot was too wide and the bottom of it is not flat, so I glued a piece of wood and wood filler to block it and slot it again, the problem now is I am not sure how to locate to slot center line - where it should be on the bridge - I don’t want to have intonation problem, I don’t remember the exact scale of the guitar I think it was less than 650, so , how I can locate the exact place of the saddle slot to slot it again?! haitham
