Cheers chaps much appreciated. I hope everyone can find something of use and interest in this post. No one has yet to respond to the how do you clean your excess glue up question yet though.

I can't do a video though as I'm no good at playing and the guitar has already gone.

As for excess glue...
I use a plastic drinking straw - slightly pinch the end to get an angle, scoop up the glue from the corner, and throw away the straw. Got this from someplace, but can't remember where???
