RE: Gerundino (in reply to Echi)

Gerundino made a few unfinished guitars, or had some unfinished ones in his inventory, right up to the period 2000-2002 (He passed away in 2006). During that period some of his guitars were finished by Juan Miguel Gonzalez, who has been a highly respected luthier in his own right for years now. Some of Gerundino's earlier, unfinished guitars were finished by Gonzalez but bear the label of Gerundino alone. Some of the later ones bear the labels of both Gerundino and Gonzalez. The ones from the period that bear the label of Gerundino alone are great guitars and have that typical Gerundino flamenco rasp and projection. I have never played one with the labels of both Gerundino and Gonzalez and don't know how they sound. Probably very good, as Gonzalez had been finishing guitars for Gerundino for some time. Bill
