Malaguena

Don't know if this has been posted before but it is a new one on me.

Every time I see footage from this era I realise that no matter how annoying youtube might be it is fantastic to have such amazing playing documented and freely available.

It's annoying only if I surf random stuff, and it's complete hell if I don't use adblock plus on firefox.

Sounds like a good idea, I'll have a look around.

As I recall the basic Malguena melody was not from Spain. (?) Paco's rendition of Malaguena and Malaguena Salorosa are two of my favorites.

His version here is not that mexican song...it is a mix of his own melodies, some traditonal stuff as per cante accomp., some veridiales, and finally a bit of the cliche melody of Lecuona (Cuban composer). not terribly original as Sabicas had done something similar.
