Live Long and Prosper

Space will never be the same--Leonard Nimoy, Mr. Spock, died today. His legacy will live for a long long time. Spock played a mean Vulcan lyre.

Here's to Leonard.

Not only did he confirm that dignity was ridiculous but also that it would endure.

He had a good ear .........(no disrespect intended)

Sad news indeed. The report I saw made an interesting point of his ''known'' acting career being from just one character.

I understand he also released several albums too?

Rest well Mr Nimoy.

Best

Nimoy was a writer and a photographer as well as an actor. He had a TV show in the 1970's that was called 'In Search Of'. They traveled around looking for strange natural phenomena and then explained it, or if it was false tried to debunk it. It played on his imprimatur as the logical Vulcan on his other show.

He made albums of dramatic monologue, poetry and wrote songs and recorded songs. He as really an all around talented guy. Although he's identified as a key Star Trek character, he accomplished much more, but that role was too prominent in his life for him to have had a music career. Seems like he acting the role of Mr.Spock set him up pretty well to work on his other artistic talents.

He'll be missed.

he should be made an honorary member of foroflamenco ...vulcan music is close enough ...and he jams a blues riff on 'Space Hippies''

wonder if one of our luthers could build these

Ha! Classic pun, Pink....

"In Search Of" - I used to watch that. It was a fore runner of current paranormal shows. Subject matter was about Loch Ness, ghost, crystal skulls, etc.

A local TV station has been airing old TV episodes of Nimoy guest appearances. He was in Rawhide, Man Form U.N.C.L.E. and others, taking on such roles as an ambitious young Indian brave to a Soviet diplomat. A nice tribute to a serious actor.

R.I.P. Leonard Nimoy.
