Part of Prelude number 2 by Villa Lobos

I was just wondering what some of you thought about the ascending scale part of this prelude. Does it sound better accelerando or no accelerando? Thanks....

Thanks for the quick replies... Thanks Sr. Martins for your input. I tend to agree with Lenador but I guess it can go either way. I like the ascending chromatic scale in Capricho Arabe using accelerando as well. Oh well, thanks again...

I just get the feeling that ver.1 gives more contrast and feels more like it falls strong on "beat 1", not so much on the second version.

the first one sounds more like it ustilises your firm /incredible technique (envy) i think i prefer it with accelrando .

john the composer says the piece is a hommage to latin american tribes or similar ? does your music idea fit the composers ? just a thought.

check the many versions on you tube .
i like this one

wait you upload etude no 2 - that is insane

see this

phew his a fair fimgerpickerr

The closest thing I've come to as far as the Etude no. 2 is this... The Etude no. 2 is more difficult I think but I could never motivate myself to learn it. By the way, great interpretation of the Prelude no. 2 there.

Number two sounds better, but I would want it a bit smoother and more gradual. I love your guitar tone for this piece, it really works for me.

I used to play this with the accelerando, but have not played it in over ten years now. Interestingly you mentioned the Etude which shares and identical scale run, and I recommend this as a warm up exercise with etude 1 and scales to anyone. With the etude 2, I run down some of the arpeggios higher up the neck, saving fast arm movements over the whole neck and increasing the fluidity. Etude 1 in a must for any nylon string player for right hand control.

Yeah Miguel, I was just thinking of the same thing. Really appreciate it... Nah John, but thanks. I need more discipline in my practice. Thanks for chiming in Cloth Ears.
