Best german "flamenco" lut...

A question inspired by a recent thread: Who are the preeminent luthers currently building flamenco guitars in Germany? A list of candidates is in order (or should I say "condedinates"?)

Thanks for the replies.

Perhaps I should have mentioned that the "alleged Conde-maker" is German but currently resides in spain (Madrid).

John O. is that the guitar you are playing in your Youtube clips? (Very inspirational playing, by the way!)

I have heard that this guy (Sascha Nowak) builds great flamenco guitars too

I think prices are somewhere between 5000 and 6000 Euros

http://www.nowak-gitarren.de/english/modelsflamencoen.html

and also this guy (Thorsten Sven Lietz)

http://www.thorsgarage.de/de/flamenco.php

But i have never tried these guitars personally, just heard from them.

Thanks Paco Yes that's his guitar! Wolfgang is specialized in flamenco guitars but builds others too.

Michio plays it too, the late Rainer Dehn-Longeru played one as well. Lately other Spanish flamencos have started showing interest.

I love it. It's great for solo, has a sweet sound but is good for accompanyment too.

Stenzel Guitars

He is a great maker and has built 2 Flamencas. Anotnio Rey and Mahmoud Turkmani both tried one at Siccas and looked pretty amazed ...

He doesn't advertize specifically flamenco guitars, but he can do it...

I´m danish, but to spaniards its more or less the same as being german (maybe they are right there). And they believe we speak almost the same language as well. rødgrød med fløde (soft danish 'd')

Brunswicker & Apelt in Frankfurt had study trips to Gerundino
www.brunswicker-apelt

Stephan Schlemper in Worpswede learned with Antonio Marin Montero and offered flamencas during the 90s and 2000s years. Maybe he still makes some.

I played a Hanika flamenco guitar that was very interesting. It had a very short scale, I think 620 with a curved fretboard...

Take care. if you start having lunch at 2 PM then, you will be a Spaniard Viking that speaks something similar to German.

Hauser II is almost as good a conde. Escudero apparently used one too.

I'm pretty sure it was "Mario Escudero, Fiesta Flamenca, ABC Paramount ABCS 428, 1962" I say "pretty sure" because I have been too lazy to unpack all my vinyl records
since I moved back to the USA.

There's a track list here,

http://www.discogs.com/Mario-Escudero-Fiesta-Flamenca/master/562602

just the track names, not the palos. From what I remember
"Caminos Malagueños¨ is of course malagueña para bailar, actually mostly verdiales;
¨Homenaje a Montoya¨ is Escudero´s version of Rondeña;
¨Tientos del Amanecer¨is self explanatory;
"Puerto Santa Maria" maybe it is a fandango de Huelva?;
"Recuerdos de la Alhambra" is the classical piece by Tarrega;
"Tronio Flamenco" and "Viva Moguer" I don´t remember;
"Tobalo" is soleá con polo;
"Castillo de Xauen" might be the zambra by Esteban de Sanlucar;
"Canastilla de Madronos" ¿?¿?

The Hanika flamencas I playes all had an action at bridge that an aeroplane can fly below the strings. That´s anything else than a good option.
