Poetry and Oud

Not related with flamenco, but maybe some of you will appreciate the break:

A first result of my collaboration with my friend Boris Koneczny, actor at the theater of Mannheim and author; he's reading a poem of Mascha Kaléko and I play the oud.

So nobody cares to listen to? Or you find it so abhorrent that you don't want to comment on it LOL

Well I can't understand German poetry (apart from a few key words like 'Traum' ) but I thought the music was very nice, and it seemed to go together well.

I really enjoyed the Oud, I am afraid I am not privy to the music style or the instrument to offer a more elaborate and creditable review. Instinctively, however, I found it most pleasant. In fact, I felt the Oud recited a poem of its own.

I most defiantly enjoyed the oud playing
The text is unfortunately lost to me but imagine more powerful if it was ones mother tongue
An Egyptian/ Australian acquaintance recently set gibrans work to oud without direct reference to the text
Might be of interest
Thank you for sharing

Many thanks for kind comments and for the reference to Joseph Tawardos' recording...
