Paco de lucia guitar

Hi I have a serious question about the Paco de Lucia guitar model.
I cant find informations about the price of this model.
How much do you think is ok for a brand knew paco de lucia guitar?
And what are your experiences or what did you hear about these guitars?
Are they all very good? Or only the name?
Its an important question coz maybe Im cloth before making a deal buying one.

Doit,
I'm very surprised at the fact that someone like you would want to buy a "Paco de Lucia" guitar in the first place!
In the 60's there were many "Beatles" guitars and Hofner remarketed their "Violin Bass" at a much dearer cost to meet the needs of all the fans who wanted to emulate Paul and his sucess.

If only it were so easy.

Why don't you just look for a good guitar at a decent price?
The PdL model is probably a well made guitar at a premium price....
Why bother about a label??
It's not as if it's gonna make you play like Paco de Lucia or anything...

Save your money amigo IMO.

cheers

Ron

No no I would get it for very very less money as it looks like. Im happy coz I know a famous player who often changes his guitars and sells his actual ones. Its a negra. The label isnt important for me. Only the sound, handling and so on. I didnt looked for a Paco guitar, just one of there fall into my hands today. It was concidence. I just dont find realistic priclists of this guitars.. The person who sells it sells it for the same money which I wanted to use to find a guitar.. So..its ok.
So what is the price for a paco de lucia negra?

Ron, you destroy my dreams! Im saving money for one year now to buy the Paco guitar and now you tell me that it wouldnt make me play like Paco? How dare you!

ha ha ha ....how naive of you all!

U dont need the guitar that Paco plays now ,to become Paco.He is already Paco
now , he can play whatever guitar and he will still be Paco.
U need his first guitar, the guitar which he used to become Paco.
But that guitar is now longer available,
she's called "zambilica" and I have it ! Bu ha haha !!!!Now , I just got to wait...and
my picado speed will grow without effort. It will be like in fairy tales, my picado
will develop in one year like other develop theirs in seven .

PS: Well , I'm becoming to belive that I will also need the guitar that Nunez played
first. If anyway has it ...please contact me !

Yes that's for the student model....isn't there a 1a model at over 4000 Euros?
I seem to remember somebody saying that a PdL 1a Negra in the UK was around £2,700 (UK Pounds)

So which model is Doit referring to?

By the way Doit, I was just joking with you....I think the ideal way to buy a guitar is from a professional player who likes to change his guitars often.

cheers

Ron

I tried the lowest end model. It felt like a classical guitar with a golpeador. Disappointing, especially considering the price tag.

Its the professional model Im talking about. There is no better above.. The only problem with the paco de lucia guitar is that everywhere I will go and play, they will see the paco guitar and will think at first : "Oh one more worse player with a too big guitar..." It will become very hard to show them that Im condign to play such a guitar... I think Im on a level where I dont have to fear that Im to bad for the guitar . Thats cool,..only having this guitar would force me to train and play much better coz otherwise Im an idiot with a too expensive guitar.
At the moment most of the people I saw with a big guitar were old people with a big moneypocket...but usually complete without talent and ability to play. The guitar is often in the wrong hands..
One more question: Paco still plays conde no? Why dont he play the paco model in concerts?

hehe i guess we all know the answer dont we LOL ?

Ron has made kind of a statement in that direction

Btw I understand your concerns Doit, but if you want to make progress one has to leave those kind of thoughts far behind!
If everyone played only the guitar which he can get the maximum out, then there would be alot of people who would have to decrease the guitar model

My view is: Of course the guitar has to be bigger than you! That makes you train more to discover the guitar!

The financal aspect is a whole other story and has nothing to do with the actual point ive mentioned. In fact, its more the money issue that determines the decision which "class" of guitar to buy, than the quality of the guitar or the palyer itself.

Well I dont KNOW the reason of course, but I would bet that PdL considers the Conde hes playing better than *his* Model... doesnt sound that logical?

Doit,
Don't get frustrated. Try the guitar out and if you like it and you think it's worth the money, then buy it.
I know, I know...buying a guitar is always an exciting but a worrying time....
Use your own judgement and forget about anybody else.

Good luck amigo...and may the Force be with you!

cheers

Hi Doitsjin,

Maybe it is good to know, for a good judgement, that the PDL guitars are made by
Vicente Carillo

haha.. Yes Thank you Ron And may the force be with you, too. hehe
Yes the guitar should be better than the player. If its not the player cant get much skill.
Hmm..usually I like blanca guitars much more...well lets see.
