New Paco Biography at Amazon

i found this at amazon--kindle store. given it has been only a few weeks since paco died this is pretty new with a publication date just last month.

half way through the book--this is more than an outsider writing about paco. the author says he and paco had been friends for 44 years and the book is an account of their exploits together.

thanks...it'd kill my eyes to have to read on the computer though...i wonder if they'll ever print this...

Yeah man you just download it as is with the only option available , Kindle Cloud Reader , which is like a kindle app for your web browser or something of the sort you sign into and then read from there.

finished the book. the highlights: sex, drugs and flamenco.

withinity: if one can read it on a web browser can one download it and then print it? might help those who prefer to read off paper and/or do not have or like kindle.

Read it last night. An entertaining 'easy' read, giving some insight into Paco's lifestyle in the 70s 80s and 90s. The Andalucian macho self-justifying womanizing was a bit off-putting (though quite normal for that 'scene' I guess). More engagingly, Paco seemed to possess a fun-loving mischievous streak. The most interesting (revelatory) information for me was Paco's discomfort and anxiety about improvising with Al di Meola and John McClaughlin - apparently he found the whole jazzy freeform 'impro' thing quite challenging.

I read this over the past couple of days as well. Definitely a slight book. Nothing too in depth or revelatory but a fun enough read, certainly worth $6 or whatever it was.

MarcChrys, Paco himself echoed sentiments similar to those in the book regarding the Guitar Trio stuff in the film documentary "Light and Shade". That is very worth seeing if you haven't checked it out.
