Spanish women

What are they like compared to Americans and other Europeans?

Compared to the British, they have bigger personalities and passionate opinions, more aware of the world around them,(more attractive :P), family orientated and the whole "dating" process was a lot slower which I enjoyed, but this can be said of all European women. People are the same everywhere. I was with a girl from malaga and she introduced me to flamenco.

I've read a lot of conflicting things...that they're abrasive, that they have good family values, that they're all feminists now, that they're uglier than their latin american cousins, that they're prettier than their latin american cousins, that they're coquettish and fashion conscious, that they lack style compared to the French and Italians etc

Just wondering what experiences some you guys have had with them as I've never actually met one I don't think

I only visited Spain once for about 8 weeks. From what I saw, the women do go to 11, they are amazingly attractive--but they seem to go downhill really early and really fast (in terms of looks).

He-hehehe!

Me has no clue.
My impression of female flamenco dancers, being that they seem above average beautiful and stuffed with really round rears, will probably not be representative.

For Latinas ( Ecuador & CR) I can say that they can be looking just breath takingly, and that they know how to walk like no other. ( Only one that could compete was an Italien girl-friend of mine. Her passing by firm & feminine steps would wake everyone´s interest in public places.)

This, along with Bizet´s Carmen, is probably the best known stereotype of Spain. But people from Galicia, Euskadi, Cataluña, Castilla y Leon, Valencia, Andalucía, Extremedura are all different, in temperament, custom and often genetics.

People from big cities, such as Madrid or Sevilla are different from the people of the pueblos, such as Cádiz. People of the pueblos are different from people of the sierra or el campo. People from one barrio differ from people of another.

Spain is too big and varied to stereotype its people, much less its women. Hay para todos los gustos.

Hence if someone paid a little attention to letras a bunch of 'em out there bashing la suegra.
I enjoy those letras, they're very funny, (for my taste at least)

calle arribita viene
la picara de tu mare
los demonios se la lleven

This is a machista thread which should have no place on this foro. You should all be ashamed. I could post stories about robberies, engaño, death threats etc. from lovers but any woman could post the same about the men in her life.

My wife is Spanish, de Andalucía and she is a maravilla.

How many people discovered flamenco here through a relationship? I was talking about some guitarist and she said check out this Paco guy that her dad liked.
Turned out to be half decent ;).

The other way around. An interest in flamenco took me to live in Spain and from there I met my wife in Mexico City - go figure Her maternal grandmother was Andalu and it shows, now and again.
