Flamenco music in Assassins Creed 4

Some of us may be gamers, thought you'd appreciate the Flamenco music that made it in the pirate game Assassins Creed 4 black flag

Sounds good too! Wonder who did it

I noticed too. I was taken aback by it and I wonder how much sense it makes historically, I guess it does to some degree since I know a lot of the early Caribbean settlers came from Andalucia, however given how little we know about flamenco in the 18th century, it just seems a bit off. But it's not like the game doesn't also take a lot of other historical liberties, so yeah.

At least the recordings are by real flamencos and not some fakemenco "Romantic Spanish Guitar vol. 383" stuff. They're good though they do sound too modern, though only people like us will care...

wow some real flamenco music in a blockbuster game.
thats really cool.
a lot of young people will hear it and maybe get interested to know more about it.

the Baile sucks though

does sound good .....i like the first sevillanas .....
and no after a big search i cannot find out who is playing /singing ....maybe if you are a member you could ask on one those forums ..someone will know all this extra info ......

So armed with my trusty tablet I decide to try the 'acid' test on the youngest sons game music recognition....I needed to see if this music had made any impact on his being....he is fifteen and I guess he could be of an age where he may be influenced by what he experiences.
I venture into the boys hovel and offer him a pair of headphones telling him I'd like him to identify a piece of music. He looks up at me cautiously through the dense smoke that is filling his dwelling . He stubbs out the remaining embers of a Marlboro straight and then wipes the residue white dust from his nose and full beard. He glances in the corner where two scantily clad women are drinking alcohol next to a well played guitar... he grunts at them to leave the room and wait outside in the''hot'' Merc which he needs to deliver to Nino shortly. Slightly agitated he places the headphones over his ears and listens emotionless . ''Familiar to you? '' I ask. He smiles, nods then says he needs go. Its late and there are places he needs to be,people he needs to see. With that he is gone.
From this its obvious to me that this music has had no impact on him,he is a normal teenager who has no interest in his father or the things he likes!!
