My dream is to meet a rich guy who will buy 10 guitars of me a year and then give them away to people that need them.

Anders. That's a marvellous idea. Why not write to museums, art galleries, big companies and the like?

The company I work for sponsors concerts and they buy art. All for 'the common good'.

I think you have a great story and there are kids out there who would salivate at the prospect of a loaner for a few years. My contract is finishing but if I get renewed I'll chase up the right bodies. It's a small stipend (for them) but they could bite at a stretch.

You might want to start thinking about Banks. These guys are parched for PR. And they're not all working in the mortgage securitization department. I've met a lot of decent people in banks but you have to get to the higher levels. You can't go in at the wrong level otherwise you might end up killing someone.

Anyway, it's worth a thought. There are people here who could help with beefing the story. It's a PR man's dream. But again you have to leap to the top otherwise you get drowned in s h i t.

I have no 'ins' anymore I'm afraid. It was twenty years ago.

Anyway, I'm not even renewed. I work in a technical field and have idea who to contact. But if I'm still alive and working I'll go after em in the new year. If you have no objections.

That is you in the video banner right? If all is well I'll order a copy in January. That s h i t is gold for this kind of play.

These things are always a longshot but one only needs a reaction, any reaction, at the right level to ensure eventual, partial, success.

PR-wise this is gold for a company. It is, in my culture, known as doing the right thing.

Sincere apologies if I am out of line but there are people here who might be able to help provide the quality control that companies really do good require. I'm sure you understand. (The quality of the guitars would be all yours to provide the 'done deal' I know they'd be.) They need to know it won't come back and munch thier buttts.

And I'm blabbing out loud because others might have better, or similar ideas, and silos are useless.

This stuff scales very well. A video also offers a secondary, super high quality spamming strategy. But one-on-one provides the key, if it exists.

Please let me know if you want me to delete this post. I'm offering nothing, I know.

Go ahead blabbing.
I wish the world was so easy. The main problem is that i suffer big time bank and big company allergy. (its not a joke.) And my whole life philosofy and the main reason for building musical instruments (besides interest) is to stay far away from all that show.

Yeah, don't mention the word "bank" whenever Anders is around.

I can't even imagine Anders to accept it and feel comfortable, if his own small guitar workshop would magically grow to a huge guitar factory making millions a month. He would pack up his tools, run away and open a new small workshop somewhere far far away from Spain

I guess the max. business idea which we can expect from Anders would be to make his waiting list longer and longer and MAYBE hire the boy next door as an apprentice.

Oh, and add a 2A Model (which he already did)

Apologies Anders. I've watched brilliant young pianists get a chance. And had jazz recordings stuffed into my hands by excited bankers who love music, work hard, and never got involved in any skullduggery.

But you're right. The scum is thick and deep. You're right.

My guess is that if they wanted to set up such a fund a staffer would get hold of it and demand Stradivarius guitars.

Usually their support of the art involves sponsoring some own or colleagues´clumsy offspring as "artist" and ends up with abstract BS canvas hung up on bankers´office walls as certification of intellectualism.
As avantgarding counter camouflage to the actual reactionary world view and policy.

Guess in view of music they may correspondingly prefer atonal noise as manifest of sophistication. Which in terms of hypotheical luthier patronage might analogue sort of picasso guitars.

That's funny. I had one customer this year who had me build a guitar so he could give it to his neighbor because she kept borrowing the ED guitar that he bought from a dealer. Then he had me make him another guitar, and then he bought another of my guitars from the dealer. Total: four ED guitars. He doesn't play very well and he assured me that eventually his guitars would end up with people who do.

Nice guitar, Anders.
