Greetings from Louisiana

Hi everyone!

Fred Klinge joining the group from Covington, Louisiana. I'm a former steel-string player who gravitated to classical guitar, who is now going to explore the world of flamenco. I've recently ordered my first flamenco and I'm looking forward to learning more about the instrument and music from foro experts. Thanks in advance for your knowledge and experience.

Best regards,

Fred Klinge

Welcome, Fred!
You will find lots of interesting and informed minds here.

The name "Louisiana" has such a nice sound to it, and it is lyrical part of one of J.J. Cale´s songs, which is why I always associate a rhythm when hearing it mentioned. :O)

Thanks Rufus! Louisiana is a musically rich place with styles including jazz, blues, cajun, and zydeco. I live in the New Orleans area and the level of musical skill in this city is amazing. Seems to be embedded in the local DNA.

Thanks again for the nice welcome.

Hi fellow Big Easy-ers! Nice to know there are some flamenco enthusiasts in the neighborhood. We're lucky to live in the most amazing musical city around.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcomes. Great foro!
