need advice

I wonder if anyone can give me some advice. I bought a brand new flamenco guitar at ebay, however the action was too high and I had a it taken down. After the bridge was filed down, the action is better, but now there is a buzzing at the bases strings. Some people said use high tension strings, which helped some what but buzz is still there...
ANy advice? thanks.

A little buzz is acceptable on a flamenco guitar but only to a certain extent. As you probably know it is caused by strings running to close to the fretboard, causing unwanted contact with neighboring frets when fretting a string. Sometimes the problem might be un-sufficient finger pressure or 1 or more unbalanced/loose frets, but i guess in this case you probably lowered the bridge to much. You have to find a balance between optimal action and avoiding unwanted buzzing. Your first weapon of choice (besides using higher tension strings/up-tuning the guitar/using a capo) is the solution mentioned by Ricardo.

exactly what i was gonna say, one of those bridge bones is about $8 at a guitar shop , u can file it down again but not as much , keep testing as you go

or ...don't even need to buy a bone, stick something solid and thin underneath the one you already have (plastic, bone, etc)

I did the same thing in many occasions and fixed it using both options

What guitar is it?

Measure the distance between the underside of the 6th string and the 12th fret in mm and let us know what you get.

PS I assume you mean the saddle was filed down and not the bridge?
