I think you're right. Recently a customer of mine that I built a blanca for brought a friend of his to my workshop. This friend is a lawyer, but he also repairs steel string guitars. They brought some huge thick planks of Brazillian rosewood that he bought incredibly cheaply from a luthier's widow.... I resawed one plank into three sets of backs (with enough for bridges and headplates) and another plank into four sets of sides (with enough for bindings). My customer wants me to build him a negra with one set eventually and I got a set for my resawing effort. Thing is, I think Indian rosewood probably makes a better sounding flamenco guitar, as I told him. But this is such beautiful wood. I'll have to do something special with it. Here's the wood for my back:

Yes, i hope we get better as well, but chances are that we might be lucky to not getting worse.
I totally agree with your deductions. In my case, its not only from building guitars, its from working the house, the car, sailing. Its just a sign that the finger is starteing to worn out.

A wonderful instrument, a total Masterpiece!
The sound is incredible, loud, warm, and very flamenco.
The tone is extremely separated, and very balanced.
The soundport works wonderful. It gives a very nice effect (all the details were discussed here a lot)
In the restaurant where I play I have a lot of benefit from the soundhole.
Also when it is busy, you can hear youself play very well, what is very nice.
And you smell the guitar a lot when you play.....yummy :-)

The guitar itself is surprisingly light, a lot lighter than my Anders Negra from 2008.
The playability is superb, realy very good, I get the feeling I get the feeling I instantly play 15% better because of that.
Very fast response.

The planetary peggs works very nice. Smooth, the feel is just like ordinary peggs. ( but no slippering or heavy turning, and a ratio in tuning from 1:4)
Also it looks like the "direct" responce in sound you have a bit with peggs, goes for the planetary peggs too.

So, as you read I am very happy with the guitar.

I´m very happy you like the guitar so much. Thats what its all about. So your Gerundino is still asleep in its case? or do you wake it up sometimes and take it for a swing?

For now it is asleep, but once in a while I get the urge to play it. And I enjoy my music on another way then.
And after a few weeks or so, I get back to the Anders again......
Pretty comfortable situation......
