Hey Kozz, not chatted much but I do hope to see you around here in the future, I make electronic music instruments of sorts and think there is so much potential for flamenco / electronic crossovers.... I look forward to hearing something with the Indian flavour too.

Cheers

Thanks John,
I'll be around.

Are you into making noiseboxes? Ripping apart your child's toys, rewiring stuff, add some knobs and go crazy?

I've listened to some electronic lounge flamenco, but I didn't like it...but for sure there is some potential!

Life sucks kozz.. I wish you much fun in india!

Here I designed a meme for you..hehe

Lol!
I hope I don't make the same cultural mistake as some collegues from India overhere. Since they were around the toiletseats were so dirty....the reason was they were standing on it. Nowadays they even get a course "going to the toilet"...anyway, I hope I wont make a mistake sitting down in a ****hole

Life sucks bigtime, but what can you do?
Become Anakin, loose your princess Leia and turn to the darksite forever, or use the force of that green little hobbit within you and at least experience life?
I use a little bit of (RS)-1-[2-dimethylamino-1-(4-methoxyphenyl)-ethyl]cyclohexanol everday to keep the force alive!

Do what makes you happy, the urge may come back stronger then ever years down the road. I nearly sold all my guitars 7 years ago but I held on to them....just because I guess. Didn't touch 'em for 5 years, now I practice probably more then I ever did.....just cus it makes me happy, if it didn't I'd go do something else.

Lenador,
Thats the way I feel also.
Flamenco has given me a lot, perhaps it needs some time now to settle down.
I only keep my Anders guitar, the FN will be up for sale.

I suppose, what this thread might have in common to all of us, is that it makes you sorry.

After all it feels as if someone like you is giving up on a racy senorita whose sweetness turned out to be femme fatal´s medusa. The unveiling of a bogeyman´s potential threat smoldering deep in our hearts. Potentially threatening even to highly advanced players.

In view of advanced musicians who gave up playing, I used to think that they might have never been passionate to begin with. Maybe lurked in by unrelated images of making music, like giving colour to oneself, freeing from geek being, meeting chicks, etc.

Ruphus

Hi Ruphus,
I hope you dont mind I've shortend your stort a little bit.

To be honest, I dont feel sorry at all. The one thing I do feel sorry for, is not listening to my innerself.
Instead of letting loose I started to develop some obsessive compulsive behaviour, more, more and more...anf feeling worse and worse about it.

...and I feel sorry still not having quit smoking

Also I accepted an internal job replacement to India for at least a half a year which probably will be extended to a year.

Does this mean also you will be getting a sitar ?? of tabla stuff....that could be good in the flamenco world as well ...

Music wise I am pretty well prepared.
That collegue of mine brought me a set of tablas and a banshuri (the flute with the red stripe on the right).
I made myself a few Udu's (on the left with the soundports), which is african, but in India the play the ghatam, which is something alike.

No no no... When Kozz goes to India he´ll start getting together with all these clean neohippies and after a while he´ll start making 'mystical electronic new age acid pop'. I will then join him for a few sit ins with my violin. And I might even sing a few morning mantras as well. ooooommmmmmm

Sounds like heaven to me! Endlessly goin on!

So you will need an electric Violin to fit in .. plenty of delay , chorus and reverb etc...
like this .......

Not necessary...I am into soldering and electronics...I'll make a cheap contact mic:

Yeah, could never part of it...its so light, and for me really sounds awesome when the strings are near dead, than you really hear the guitar.

For a long time life didn't take me anywhere, so I decided to take life with me...seems like a turning point is happening, strange, but it will take me somewhere.
Fortunately I am not attached into a relation, so that makes choices a lot easier.

How's your negra doin? Is she allready wispering in your ear?

There are people who are born, grow and age in one place, you might not even know the nearest town, but there are also people in their lives have stopped in many cities, sometimes in several countries. There are events in life that can not be stopped and they do not seem clear in the beginning, but over the time you realize that they are a great stone "bridge" between you and your happiness.
I am sure that this departure in India for you, will be one of these stones.
As for the music, it does not matter which one likes flamenco, or some other style .... what matters is "to feel the emotions" and music as art in general "need" this too, maybe primarily. The art is nothing more than "decoration" of the stone used to make the most beautiful bridge!

... my "precious negrita" is something out of the ordinary, just a year old has a "voice" as "colored" that more than the ears, enchants the heart. In particular when I play, for example, granaina, tientos or malaguena...I get "goose bumps." :-)

I am convinced that in Anders's guitars, as in many things still made by expert and sensitive hands, remains imprinted the personality of the manufacturer and this is another feature of the work of Art, a characteristic that no amount of money can buy .

ciao, :-)

That sounds a lot better Doit.
Great you're sticking to flamenco guitar...why not join the Cantinas challenge, still two weeks time, more than enough time for you

Its so easy to hurt somebody, but takes a lot of energy to feel good again especially for the ones around taking care of you, so be nice to those awesome girls...they might be giving you more than you think you miss!
