Hello from North Carolina, USA

Hello from North Carolina. I've been lurking on the forum for couple of months now. So, I finally joined. I retired from the telecommunications industry over six years ago.I had always wanted to try my hand at building a guitar. So, I built one, then another and another and so on! All were steel strings. In looking back at the classical guitar lessons that I took many years ago (we touched on flamenco just a bit), I have rediscovered this great music! I have now begun building my first flamenco guitar (a blanca).

Bienvenido to the forum Wayne.
And welcome to the pandoras box that is learning flamenco!
This an amazing resource for building so you should find it pretty helpful.

Hello and welcome Wayne! I guess we'll get to see the pics of the blanca in the Lutherie section?

Thanks all for the welcome!

theblackcat--I'll be glad to post pics once I am finished. Since this is my first build of a flamenco, I still have to make the forms, solera, and etc. I do have the neck partially carved and the top is braced. So, I am past the "thinking about it" stage.

Cape Hatteras is one of our state treasures, but kudzu......Japan can have it all back.
