That yellow truck to the left takes a lot of energy and puts a lot of emphasis on that part of the picture. Yes, it makes some balance with the other yellow trucks, but it removes energy from the globes (or what these flying objects are called).

You might have a point. I tend not to crop too much but I'll take a look at it. Globos are balloons in English.

I tried just barely cropping out the leftmost yellow truck, and didn't like the result. Thinking it over, I noticed that the yellow truck and the two balloons form a strong diagonal line, giving a greater sense of depth and space to the photo.

It's all subjective, but I think Simon's eye here suits me better. And I tend to crop quite a bit when looking at my own photos.

Yeah, but do you like it

Everyone else with their tripods and telephoto lenses were gathered around the balloons on the ground, ignoring the circus and trucks and a child's passion for such things, which is kind of the point of my angle on it.

I like the photo. I prefer it uncropped, because I like photos that get my eyes to travel away from, and then back to, the focal point. I think this photo has a nice isosceles triangle path starting at the main balloon and top of circus tent, moving to the truck on the left and across the white campers to the truck on the right before heading back up across the tent to the balloons. Very nice.
