good find ..I remember talking about that particular clip not so long ago on here ....

I just had a quick listen to compare it to the music , and it is the same tune but the ending is different some bits left out here and there , and I see that they have the tremolo written as semiquavers instead of the usual quintiplets , all that tapping at the end is not there ,....

But dont get me wrong , its not a complaint ..this is great to have the music and a version of him playing it ...I dont think I would ever have his talent ....or jacket ......

Thank you everybody for your comments. About Vicente Gomez and the tremolo technique, Vicente Gomez played the 4 note tremolo and his seating position was that of a classico. Mr. Gomez learned flamenco as child while working in his father's taverna. Later on he studied with Quintin Esquembre who was a pupil of Francisco Tarrega. So, Mr. Gomez was adept at both flamenco and classical guitar.
Of note, historically flamenco players used both the 4 & 5 note tremolos and there was no distinction between the two, i.e. "flamenco tremolo" vs. "classical tremolo".

For those of you that would like a full bio on Vicente Gomez you are directed to: The International Guitar Research Archive, http://library.csun.edu/igra/bios/gomez.html

For a reference to flamenco players using both the 4 & 5 note tremolo check out Rafael Marin's flamenco method from 1902.

Saude,

Dan
