 Golpeador/flamenco tap plate?

Hi,
may I ask You for some help regarding golpeadores, choose of them and materials?
I have been using Kling-On, non-adhesive, antistatic flamenco tap plates. I have installed them on my classical guitar, for ocassional practicing flamenco pieces. They are very good, easy to use, strong, safe and durable. HOWEVER, I found the "upper" one (of both) too small, also shapes of them could be more refined.
So here came some of my questions and ideas:
- are there another antistatic flamenco tap plates?
- have any of You tried to use a so called "LCD Protector" for mobile phone/tablet? To be more safe I think it is possible to apply two pieces of them, one to another, to have more protection (single one could be too weak, but eventually good for basic protection against scratches),
- I did some research, and found that the flamenco tap plate I got is made out of two layers, glued together. I took off small piece, then I separated layers and found (by burning and identifying them) that there is one layer of so called static cling vinyl, which sticks to the top, and outer layer of acrylic glass/Poly(methyl methacrylate), very similar to the one from LCD protectors. Both are about 0,15 mm.
So then, clear static cling pVC is readily available, they use it to print non permanent stickers, in my neighborhood it is somehow improperly called "adhesive vinyl". Also, it is possible to find sheets thin polycarbonate or even replace it with LCD protector, and I think if it is possible to make my own golpeador :)
