Jubilee Concert

Was anybody there?

Watched it on telly and I must admit that I was captivated more by the graphics and special effects rather than the performers... much like the Eurovision Song Contest. and all the computerised camera movements etc.
(Hey don't believe there is someone in the gallery switching shots, cameras and panning etc. That job is taken by R2D2 these days, can do it better than you and he don't need any pay or a pension.. lol.)

Jeez the Fireworks at the end were the best I have ever seen since George W's "shock and awe" over Baghdad!

Apparently 5000 separate fireworks set off over 4 minutes.

Good quality gear so say a tenner a time at least, without the labour of setting out and setting up the computer program.

So at least £50,000 in fireworks for 4 mins and at least the same in consultancy fees.

Still.. at least half the price of a decent Cruise missile these days.

Sheesh...where is all this Austerity crap?

Greece eat your heart out...we are just gonna party on here in the UK with the Olympics next!

Loadsa money...

BTW Yesterday was not a holiday here in Scotland, only today...

Stevie (WTF?) and McCartney were pretty good though...
(The old woman with the hula-hoop would have been arrested and possibly sectioned though, had she done that in Oxford Street... WTF is her head at??? )

Ah well.. obla di..

cheers & beers,

Ron

RE: Jubilee Concert (in reply to Ron.M

We needed an excuse to party down here, Ron and we sure partied. Got to bed in the wee hours and been processing my photos all day (see my other post). I met some great people this weekend and have never seen the English so happy.
