Chris Berkov Blanca for sale

My Chris Berkov guitar is for sale. Blanca made in 1998, Port Orford Cedar back and sides, German Spruce top. It's seen some action, it's a wonderful guitar, but I have to sell it. $2400.00 firm. Write me for the particulars if you're interested.

Tom,
Chris Berkov is a Northern California guitar maker who started building in the late sixties. He's similar to Lester Devoe, in some ways, but often his workmanship is better. He's retired now, but he was the go to guy for many collectors and musicians for restoration work. During his career the restoration work was the bread and butter; he did not promote his guitar making you would only hear about him by word of mouth. He was always busy, several weeks if not months deep with restoration is on really high end instruments. Last time I was there while he was open for business there was a D'Angelico archtop, several vintage Martins and a few old Spanish guitars in for work, not to mention the mandos and other regular stuff.

So his work is on par with Oribe and Lester and other top builders of those two generations. I don't really want to sell it but it could help fund getting a bigger better shop. Since I can make myself a guitar I don't worry about getting a good guitar anymore.
