Another guitar

Just finished this one and figured I'd throw the pics and video up here. It's a very fine cedar top blanca with tons of power, clarity and projection. A little different than I normally build but I had a sound in mind that I was going for...

Looking at the pictures it does look older (in a good way) and personally I love the sound.

Very nice! The sap wood looks excellent, and the tiny bit at the bridge adds balance to the look. Did you construct this rosette too? It goes perfect with the color of that top

Another cedar top blanca. They suddenly seem quite popular. Must try this combination myself sometime.

Thank you guys... I did not make the rosette on this one but it does go well with the top.
Cedar is great for flamenco guitars once you figure out how to work it, it is usually less stiff in the long grain but I've found that I don't agree with making it thicker than I would a spruce top. I just make the braces a little taller.

krichards, I'm using a $60 Sony stereo mic and a basic preamp recorded into my laptop. And iMovie for the video.

For anyone who's interested here is what the bracing looks like:

You sure know how to play solea. The guitar is cool, but I almost forgot to pay attention to it because you played so well. Very nice sounding combination of guitar and toque

What microphone do you use and is it plugged directly into the webcam or is passing through your computer and if it does, any manipulation? EQ, room etc.

Thank you guys. I don't think this is my best guitar ever (#18 was which I didn't record). Probably not my best solea ever either but I appreciate the complements.

Here's how I recorded:

Sony ECM-MS907 stereo mic ----> B-tech BT26 preamp ----> MacBook Pro with Amadeus Pro (yeah I'm a real pro

)

The sound was recorded in Amadeus and no effects were added at all except amplifying + about 4 dB. It was then imported into iMovie which I had used to record the video.
