Flamenco workshop w/ La Chimi: Buler... 

Flamenco Latino hosts La Chimi for workshops on January 26-28 only!

Lakshmi Basile, “La Chimi,“ has performed at the Concurso Internacional de Cante de Puertollano 2008, alongside legends such as Carmen Linares and José de la Tomasa, at the flamenco theater El Palacio Andaluz in Sevilla, where she is one of the featured artists,and with the seville-based group "Sentir Flamenco." She participated as a soloist in the series Peñas de Guardía and recently presented her first show in Spain, "Zarabanda."

With a background in flamenco, classical, and contemporary dance she moved to Spain in 2002 from San Diego, CA. In Spain, she studied with various masters such as Los Farrucos, Angelita Vargas and Andres Marin. With her own company in the U.S., "Luna Flamenca Dance Company", she self-produced shows such as "Flamenco en la cocina", in 2006, and "Trois", in 2007.

Lakshmi is the best flamenco dancer I have ever seen. Highly recommend.
