middle and ring finger golpes

since I learnt golpes I always tap with ring finger when I play P or I downstroks, and I did not try to do it with middle finger.
About one month ago I was more intrested in practicing alzapua, I noticed how Gerardo Nunez tap with middle finger when he plays alzapua, I tried to do it I felt more comfortable and to have better angel to strok down and tap...but don't have enough strenght to tap, I tried to built more strenght and it beacomes better evryday.
ofcourse I still tap with ring finger when playing i downstroks....so now when I play these both golpes I feel confused :S ....
Am I doing the right??? to use middle and ring finger golpes in diffrent technics?? and can I get rid of this confusing that I am worried about day after day???

Interesting question. I've gotten into the habit of only tapping with my middle finger, which I'm certain I will regret at some point. Haven't gotten a straight answer as why this is bad so I will watch this post with anticipation.

I do golpes below the treble strings (regardless of what technique I'm using) with my "m" and "a" finger together. I do capirote (golpe above basses) with the "i" finger. Some people do golpes below the trebles using three fingers: middle, ring, and small fingers.

I also do most of the golpes below the trebles with m & a. I like the sound better than if I do it only with the a

Plus it distributes the force along two nails thus decreasing the pressure per nail ending up with less nail breakage...

i do the standard , I have been taught that 'a' is golpe below trebles and 'm' is for top strong golpe

Thank you all for answers and discussions.... what I came up with is:
-it's fine to build my style with golpes as long as it sounds right.
-variation is good

Ido M & A together whenever possible for a louder golpe. Otherwise, I just use A

I find real difficulty doing golpe with rasguados - everytime I strum downwards with my I the r wants to extend also. Making it move in the opposite direction with sufficient force to hear is a mean challenge for me just now..

many or even most players use am together for golpe except for when doing i down, but even PDL does both together when doing i down, so like ALWAYS I guess.
