how the heck wouldnt it?
if you go on the folder and press space it tells you the total size, if you go into it it tells you how much space it holds and how many files there are in there, bottom of the page...

right, i use control+page up for that...
the ... button will do the same, the \ will take you to the root of the disk...

i love it mostly because its incredibly efficient and customizable, i do basically everything in it...and it takes seconds to do stuff other take minutes with :)

they remover that "Up" button which lets you go one directory up.

If you want to go to the parent, grand-parent or any other directory in your current hierarchy path, just click on it in the field at the top of the window, to the left of the search box; each directory is separated by an arrow head triangle. It will bring your there one-click.

You mean the address bar. Its not the same like an up button and not nearly as fast. YOu have to move the cursor exactly to the right path, going leftwards each time you move one directory up. Besides the up button lets you go "up" until the desktop. There it "ends". With Win7, lets say you are in a path on the partition C, it lets you go only to the parent "C", not further. Really, once you get used to that button it becomes really really annoying if its not there anymore!
XP rulz.

Well, no it's not the same but it's something similar. Like JieXian said you can also press the Backspace key followed by Return and itl will move you up the path.

Don't know why they change good things every time but you have to move with it, eventually, you get used to it.

I think KMMI77 was spot on when he said
