Michael, I have an Oscar Herrero metronome and like it very much. It has a setup to practice keeping in compas in several palos, and the circular lights that go around as the 12-count progresses, though not necessary, do add a visual element to it that I, at least, find helpful. There probably are other metronomes that will do the job just as well, but the Oscar Herrero certainly has done it well for me.

I find it's CRAZY expensive! Unless it went down in price recently.
But it does more than just keep the beat, you can program it to do different compas and change as it plays. I find that the sound sounds clanky though (of course with a tiny little speaker), I guess it would sound better through real speakers, not sure if you can do that, my friend has one.
But if you just want a metronome that simply counts different flamenco palos, there use to be the Mundo Beat, but you could only find it used now, it use to sell for $100CDN. All it makes are 2 electronic beep sounds. Maybe you can find a used one on the foro. The plus is that it holds tempo, the minus is that you need the user manual because it is far than intuitive, also you need to plug it in the wall because it eats up batteries like crazy, 5 hours and they are dead.
There is this one here, and it also serves as a tuner. As you can see if you click on the 2nd demo, it does different rythms for the different palos. But the sounds are pretty crappy, most of them like a high hat and a slap in the face (like the old Chinese movies) type of sound or the Phil Collins reverse snare sound; like Djjjj Djjjjj (makes me laugh when I hear it). Most of these would get on my nerves after a while.
The plus is that it holds the beat and it is simple to use and it has a descent price.

Hi Michael,
I bought one about three or so years ago.
At the time it was the most useful thing out there.
But as time went on used it less and less.
Interface is awkward to use and program...
sounds are a bit lumpy, or clanky as rogeliocan mentioned though sounds better thru a PC
no useful battery life to speak of so not that portable.
Very stiff Compass...no swing....sounds are ok but...
As time went on i used Beat Vibe more and more....combined with a standard metronome and solocompas loops...
Then Dr Compass.... [the easiest to use, best sounds and swings...]
both these apps fall under $30.
Still it is what it say's it is and a useful practice tool and glad it was there at the time
But now?
Can't seem to give mine away...used mainly as a paperweight these days.
Damn expensive...! but the USB option looks more affordable...
Have'nt advertised mine but if you want a cheap one let me know....
My advice? get an Ipad or to save alot of $$$ - a secondhand ipod touch and install beatvibe and dr compass...should fall under $100
