I like the "horseback rides" under complimentary activities. I also like the fact that they are "complimentary" activities, yet are NOT included in the course fee.

"guitarra, playa y caballos"

Interesting. Clearly this is Enrique Vargas's idea. It seems he sees himself as a kind of translator, as he has both the flamenco knowledge and the academic training that allow him to act as a kind of human Amazing SlowDowner that gives explanations.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him offering similar courses with other players whose work he has transcribed - although none of them comes from a place with a beach.

This is a lot to learn in just three days, especially if they are offering "Classes for all levels.":

* The style of Tomatito
* Theory of Flamenco rythmical, modal and harmonic language.
* Study of "palmas" as a supplementary discipline.
* Teoría de la improvisación flamenca
* Acompañamiento al cante

I thought it was interesting, but I would much rather attend the Gerardo Nunez course. Hopefully one day I can. Of course, the Gerardo course does not include horses.

Well, technically Gerardo's curso is strictly "bring your own horse."
