Time for some CD tips...

...I'm burned out on what I have, most of my favorites are OLD!

The CD's that got much playtime at home and in the car are
El Pele - Poeta de Esquinas Blandas
Santiago Lara - El Sendero de lo Imposible
Juaneke - Linaje
Pitingo con Habichuelas
Niño de Pura - Pozo y Caudal
Angel Pastor - Todos hablarán de mi
Gerardo Núñez - Andando el Tiempo
Estrella Morente - Mi Cante y un Poema
Esperanza Fernandéz
Vicente Amigo - De mi Corazon al Aire
Camarón de la Isla - Viviré
Rocío Márquez - Aquí y Ahora

Rocío Márquez is a must have by the way, she's my absolute favorite singer at the moment:

I'm of course a huge Camerón fan, but it's enough that I have all his albums. It almost feels like everywhere I go everyone is listening to the same two flamenco albums, one with a male voice and one with a female voice, both sounding like Camarón...

Tips for someone with my taste?

olé

Santiago Lara is nice. He is playing next week in Amsterdam with Mercedes Riuz

I would recommend "Mi forma de vivir" of Doquende. I like it alot. Also Jose Manuel León "Sirimusa" and Ultra High Flamenco "UHF".

I would like to buy a cd or lp of Parrilla de Jerez, but I can't find any anywhere

Thanks for recommending Rocío Marquez. I didn't know her yet

With all respect to Duquende as I think he's one of the greatest out there, I already have all of Camaron's albums

Sirimusa is a good one. I checked out UHF on Youtube, cool stuff.

Parrilla, dang you're right. Maybe somebody on the forum who lives in Spain can find it for you.

And I do like Duquende, but am always interested in different voices, like different styles of playing too. El Pele, Pitingo, Juaneke, Estrella, Esperanza all have distinct voices. Rocío you can really compare to Mayte Martín, but I just personally like Rocíos voice better. And not only are they among the best singers, they make albums with catchy tunes that make me want to sing along. That's always what I'm looking for...

I havent seen a killer album for a long time now, but there are some good ones like Antonio Rey, Adam del Monte and Juan Carmona. They are all new, 2010 and 2011.
Watch out for Jasons new album when it comes out.

I see you like El Pele & Vicente Amigo, so first one comes to mind is
the El Pele/Vicente Amigo album (Canto) which is really good!
Other albums I really enjoy besides some of the ones you mentioned are;
Carmen de La Jara ( Tesoros del Cante Antiguo)
Enrique Morente (Despegando) (Seleccion Quejio)
Juan Habichuela (Una guitarra en Granada)
La Macanita (La Luna de Tomasa)
Luis El Zambo (Gloria Bendita)
Hopefully you'll be able to pick one of these up, they're all really great!

Cano's album "Son de Ayer" is think is very underrated. Not all the tracks you'd call flamenco, but the non-flamenco ones are really interesting and not just crappy fillers, and the flamenco tracks are pretty unique, with some different sounding singers as well.

Juan Diego's stuff I'm listening to a lot - his newest one is a bit softer sounding though.

La Macanita's Con el Alma - most of her albums since have had a lot of pop songs mixed in but this one's great

I still listen to Diego de Morao all the time, although it seems that album's not very popular amongst a lot of people here.

It's hard to escape the influence of Camarón and that's ok. I think these have their own voices. I tried to advise following your tastes but I think I prefer a bit less tuneful than you.

La Tobala 'Lenguaje Puro'
Marina Heredia 'La Voz Del Agua'
La Tana 'Tu, Ven a Mi'
Rosario La Tremendita 'A Tiempo'
Enrique Morente 'Suena la Alhambra'
Montse Cortés 'Alabanza' and 'La Rosa Blanca'
Miguel Poveda 'Zaguán'
Diego el Cigala 'Picasso En Mis Ojos'

These are good for a heavier listen,

Fernando Terremoto 'Terremoto'
Juana la del Pipa, Dolores Agujeta & La Macanita 'Mujerez'
