John Barry passes on to the happy hu...

Great British film music composer...the best IMO.

He had 15 seconds to grab your attention ...

And did it every time.

Great, memorable tunes and moods he created..

I hate using the word "genius", but the musical thoughts that were going on in his head were not the same as the one's going on in others....and that's what made him so special.

A great life anyway, and a great contribution to the world.

His "larger than life" film scores always left me with a sense of wonder and amazement every time I saw any of the films he composed for...and made the films all the more memorable.

i completly agree, one of my favourites too!
i'm always wondering about his talent to create these captivating melodies and building up a special athmosphere with a few beats and notes!
a great loss for the whole world of music.
