Antonio Rey at Concurso Córdoba 2010.

Antonio Rey at Concurso Córdoba 2010.

Isn't the end (starting at 2.05) a quote from Jesus de Rosario's Rondeña "Blanca".
Or are they both quoting someone else?

Taranta also from Concurso Córdoba 2010.

that Rondena performance is just magic. There is no other word to describe it.
Yeah thats either JEsus' or David's falseta... but i know an easier fingering for it

Yes, I know you do a great version. I tried copying you but left handed confused me.
Deniz I recommend to try Antonio Rey's version, it's actually not that hard and gets some great slow picado notes high up on the neck and then down to the big chords for dynamics.

And I agree Antonio's Rondena performance is great. I really like the way he plays some more modern chords but his attack stays very flamenco.

Here is my attempt at a Rondeña ending inspired by Antonio Rey.

In foro mini-challenge style it's a work in progress.
I haven't got the end right yet, a couple of the phrases but I guess that's ok it's 'inspired by' doesn't need to be exact. I think generally I'm playing too fast. I don't play libre much and I forget to let the guitar do the work. Also struggling with where to put my thumb to let the bass notes ring. Need to practice and figure out what to do and make it much cleaner and more musical. Love how much expression Antonio Rey has in his playing.

(In my homage to Caño Roto I've poured on the reverb!)

PS Doit you play great, your playing could make me flattened too. But I guess we have to enjoy where we are, there's always going to many better players out there.
