RE: PEGHEDS anybody??? (in reply to Ricardo

mmm yummy! I might try that. except i dont have any pegs.

I have seen peg shavers, lmii carries those, and I assume they work well. as for the pictures that guy had with the lathe and all.... what a pain in the @ss!!

i say whittle them down, ram them into a shaver, buy a corresponding reamer and for 30 bucks you got yourself a peg and reamer combo designed to go together without the guesswork

of course I could be totally wrong.

I'm interested in trying a peghead guitar, but I sure do like my machine heads.

Maybe I will change my mind???

I installed a set of the latest Pegheds into my 1950 Conde.
You can actually fine tune the guitar .They work BETTER than machines. They work better than pegs.
They are fantastic!!!
You cannot tell them from pegs except when you turn them. Then whopeee!

I love my pegheds too.
I am not experienced enough with standard pegs to compare them, but I much prefer them to standard machines.
Fast to use, with just enough gearing to allow easy fine tuning

I love them. I wish my negra had them. I went for the Sloane tuners which are great, but I miss them elephantine pegheds
