Bought from La Falseta in Texas before?

Hi, has anyone bought from La Falseta before?
I'm looking at various guitars and prices and compared to other big guitar sites some of the prices are night and day.

I actually just did a search for La Falseta in the foro and found a thread on the shop full of good things. I originally did not do a search because I thought that 'falseta' would return way too many results.

So I see he is a member so either everyone is scared of him or he truely is outstanding.

Looks impressive, I'll be in contact.

Tom Nuñez who runs La Falseta has been on the go selling guitars to aficionados for years.
I personally have never bought from him only due to UK import duties and shipping etc.
He is a member of and contributor to ForoFlamenco and FT and I've never heard anything but glowing reports on the various foros about his service.
He is also a Flamenco aficionado and amateur guitar builder and is very knowledgeable and will give you good advice according to your taste and budget.

cheers,

Ron

Wow! I just realized I can drive there in an hour. I should try to check out
his stock in person sometime.

The only thing is that there are no sound clips.
But I don't get this do people buy guitars without listening to them first? It's bad enough you can't play them. And yes I know that recordings always change the sound...but still.

'bought and sold through LaFalseta and always most satisfactorily. Tom is a true gentleman, a helpful guide, and someone I am honored to consider a friend.

However, the guitar market is a buyer's market at this time. Most other dealers will gladly negotiate their prices more favorably than you can expect. So do not be shy when challenging the price tag by as much as a quarter (25%), particulalry on second-hand (vintage) instruments!!

Good luck.

I have bought two guitars from Tom, I still own both, and had no problems with
either guitar. I'd buy from him again.

Oh- I live near Dallas. I just have a huge appetite for Leeks and Caerphilly.
My last name also falls into the top 10 welsh names.
My people spoke funny back in Wales and we still speak funny in Texas :)

Speaking of Texas.... Rangers and SF Giants. How does a Texan in San Francisco feel about the 2010 Baseball World Series?

I never watched baseball before (except for one firm's outing at the Yankee's Bronx Stadium -which I found exceedingly boring after I finished my hot dog), not until I found my wife and gilrs glued to the TV screen on Wednesday -and then last night. I joined them on both nights and unexpectedly enjoyed our Giants taking the first two games.

Go Giants ( Jason....?)

He's a good seller but the shipping cost to Europe and especially to Greece is too high! But i suppose that this is not his fault!

I was dealing with Tom on a Hnos. Sanchis Lopez, had sent the money and everything and had some scary problems with the nerves in my left hand. He graciously agreed to let me back out of the purchase and was very cool and understanding about it. Unfortunately, when things got better the guitar was gone - I would not hesitate to deal with him in the future.

What's baseball? Do they sing out of tune and overplay guitars like big burly vikings?

Well... they didn't yet -sing out of tune and overplay guitars- but they sure look like they would if they tried
