Korg Wavedrum

A friend of mine has just purchased one of these and is very pleased with it. It looks like fun and would be good for creating backing in recordings or just loops for playing over. Price is about $800aus from what i can tell. Lots of sounds available including cajon, Tabla, congas etc...Has anyone else got one?

A friend of mine has one, I'd got the old version and sold it one day.
This new one version is definatly much much better as the older version.
If you like it, go for it!

Thanks for the reply Kozz.

My friend who has one is in taiwan so i have not had the chance to have a go. The new one doesn't seem to be available in oz yet but i have found a guy on the net who has imported a couple in my city.

I think i would have fun with it and its small size is a big plus considering i live in such a small unit.

you'll definately have some fun with it, in fact I want to have one myselves again

Its a perfect combination of PCM sounds and modelled sounds. It has the same modelling technque as used in the "already a digital classic" the Korg Prophecy. Its amazing what you can do with it.
The only problem is when you want to go indepth programming, and you have only a 4 digit display, but the presets will provide a lot of fun.

The machine should be available for 675 AUD so take a good look around!
