New camera

I can't lug my big SLR around all the time and my Canon point and shoot was getting dated, so I bought the new Panasonic LX5 today. It is basically a Leica... same lens, same factory etc. only £250 cheaper.

So small, with fast and wide glass that no-one notices me taking a shot up close. Check this one that I took this evening. Love this thing.

So I gathered from hours of research, much to the wife's dismay You will love it too, I just pretend it's a Leica.

Nice Camera! I got the LX3, the generation before. I like the new LX5 but not enough to replace my LX3.

These Panasonices are great when you are travelling and want to take pictures without drawing a lot of attention to yourself.

You're right, not enought to upgrade from the LX3 but my G7 was too chunky to carry around much and it just sat in a box. I wouldn't upgrade from the LX3 either. Sweet little cameras but a little too noisy over ISO 400. Still, the best camera is the one you have with you I guess.
